Strategy

The Guard, an esports organization owned by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment had a lethal VALORANT roster paired with incredible branding. With 4 months left in the season, we were tasked to grow The Guard's socials on Tiktok, YouTube and Instagram.

After analyzing the VALORANT content landscape, we found educational content performed well due to the competitive nature of the title. So we led with the idea that once you see The Guard's talented roster crush it on stage, you can learn how to get better by heading to The Guard's socials... but we needed a unique twist.

We crafted a new creation style for The Guard, called Enhanced Education.

Stepping away from boring lecture-style education with simple gameplay (which was the current state of VALORANT content on short-form) to an exhilarating burst of music, visuals and valuable information.

We worked closely with The Guard's professional VALORANT player Trent, to voiceover some videos which added extra authority to videos.

The Guard also established a partnership with popular beverage company Jarritos, which then prompted us to integrate the Jarritos branding into our content. We chose to place their logo into VALORANT's 3D environment and attempt to merge the two worlds into one; making Jarritos a natural part of the game.

Delivery

We were in contact with Frank, the social media manger for The Guard. He was provided with video files and titles/thumbnails for easy uploading.
